JOEWALD3, 3-0, AND NOBODY SAW IT

Joewald3 is 3-0 with 500.46 points for and 408.98 against, the best point differential in the league through three weeks. This is a manager sitting on a 32-41 all-time record, a 47.6 all-play mark, and dead last in five-year form at 29-41. He also owns a championship, 2021, and a 4-1 playoff record, which is the most Joewald3 thing in the file: irrelevant for months, then lethal. Beating gaberios 168.36 to 132.08 is the loudest single result of the young season, because gaberios had lost this head-to-head only three times in nine tries.

The rebuttal: 408.98 points against is the second-softest slate in the league, and three weeks does not undo 70 games. Joewald3's career luckWins sits at minus two, so the schedule has usually been the enemy. Enjoy the run, but Siks78 and sdoebler have both scored more than him already.

THE GOAT TOOK A PUNCH

gaberios is 52-21 all time, 59.4 percent all-play, 144.52 per game, two Sleeper-era titles and two runner-up finishes. He is also, this week, the lowest scorer in Firm Lyfe at 132.08, and he sits sixth at 2-1 with 436.76 points, less than everyone above him. That is the shape of a GOAT season in September and everybody knows it. The one genuinely interesting number: gaberios has 7 luckWins across six seasons, more than anyone. Week 3 was the bill arriving.

The defense: he is 2-1. A 45-28 vs-median record and a 7-2 playoff mark say the floor holds. And the man is 8-0 lifetime against tfalasz, 5-1 against sdoebler, 6-2 against GKrum. The ledger has room for one 132.

THE SHAMP RACE

The index is 21 percent this season, 79 percent league history, which is a polite way of saying it mostly ignores what you just did. ryanjenn356 leads at 30.3 percent: 0-3, 360.88 points for, last in the league, a 35-38 career mark dragged down by a 45.1 all-play and a 31-42 vs-median. Losing by 0.64 does not count as moral credit here. tfalasz is second at 22.6 percent, also 0-3, 379.96 for, 501.5 against, and freshly beaten by 39.18. GKrum is third at 13.8 percent despite being 2-1, because 33-40 and 44.9 all-play is what the history half of the formula sees.

The rebuttal: earios is 0-3 and rated only 5.6 percent because of a 142.07 career average and 51.1 all-play. The model is betting scoring talent bails him out. If it does not, this index will look ridiculous by Thanksgiving, and it will deserve every word of it.

THE LUCK LEDGER

HogCityDog scored 158.9, beat the 152.51 median comfortably, and lost. GKrum scored 146.12, finished under the median, and won by 0.64. That is the whole argument for all-play in one week. Career-long, sdoebler is the standing exhibit: 40-33 with minus six luckWins, a 46-27 vs-median record, 58.4 all-play, and the most career points in league history at 10,566.96. He dropped 172.78 on tfalasz and sits second at 2-1. Two pre-2021 titles, zero in the Sleeper era. The math has owed him for six years.

The defense for the schedule: sdoebler is also 4-6 in the playoffs, which no median column explains away. And tfalasz leads him 6-4 head-to-head all time, so Week 3 was a correction, not a takeover.
